In 1994, the art director at the time, Matt Wilson, approached me for a unique project. He was the art director with AEG ( Alderac Entertainment Group) which was on the cusp of launching a brand new collectible card game and had a pressing requirement for 20 card illustrations within a matter of weeks. Recognizing the magnitude of this task, I enlisted the talents of fellow artists in my studio. Together, we rose to the challenge and not only delivered on time but also went on to contribute art for over 15% of the subsequent card sets for this game. Notably, this project marked the beginning of artist Anthony Grabski's illustrious career.
The art showcased here represents just a fraction of our collaborative efforts. While I would often sketch and paint the designs myself, there were times when my artists sketched and I added the finishing touches with paint. This collaborative approach is reflected in the card copyrights, which occasionally read as a joint effort between myself, Kevin Daily, or Anthony Grabski.
